Dear Residents, PCSO Sparkes here this is a quick round up from me and the rest of the Hillfield’s neighbourhood policing team. What`s been happening: Regular patrols have been taking place in your local neighbourhood this week, A warrant has took place this week and multiple Cuppa with a copper events. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Your local Neighbourhood team have been out and about engaging in the community. We have conducted patrols on Harnall Lane East, checking vehicles for TAX, MOT and insurance. We have also been putting 'Don’t plonk it, Park it' notices on vehicles that are causing an obstruction. Be considerate when parking your vehicles. We have completed joint visits with partnerships to addresses that have had report causing issues. Your local neighbourhood team have completed 2 Cuppa With Coppa events. 1 was held at Vernon Court and the other at The Gateway. This is a great way to engage with the residents and understand issues they are facing.
ARRESTS: This week your local officers made some great arrests this set. Altogether there were 3 arrests made regarding known offenders causing issues within the local neighbourhood this week. OTHER HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK: After receiving more complaints around vehicles with no TAX on Wellington Street, we managed to seize 2 vehicles this week. Make sure you have TAX, MOT and insurance on your vehicle, to prevent having it seized. We carried out a warrant in your neighbourhood leading into having a successful arrest. After conducting foot patrols, we managed to seize a knife and a firearm. Officers are proactively completing a closure order on an address that is causing issues in the Hillfields area. We have safeguarded vulnerable individuals, which is a part of our problem solving in Hillfields, around anti-social behaviour. GREAT NEWS: Your local neighbourhood team are looking a setting up a Street watch in Hillfields. Street Watch Team is a community patrol initiative that helps you make a difference where you live. Street watch gives you and your community an opportunity to keep your area safe.
